  1. Hello,

I´ve downloaded your Plugin, but it does´t work. Thats the Error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘The Facebook SDK v4 requires PHP version 5.4 or higher.’ in /mnt/web8/d3/65/51985465/htdocs/WordPress_01/wp-content/plugins/facebook-events-widget/facebook-php-sdk-v4-4.0-dev/autoload.php:32 Stack trace: #0 /mnt/web8/d3/65/51985465/htdocs/WordPress_01/wp-content/plugins/facebook-events-widget/facebook-events-widget.php(43): require_once() #1 /mnt/web8/d3/65/51985465/htdocs/WordPress_01/wp-admin/plugins.php(151): include(‘/mnt/web8/d3/65…’) #2 /mnt/web8/d3/65/51985465/htdocs/WordPress_01/wp-admin/plugins.php(153): plugin_sandbox_scrape(‘facebook-events…’) #3 {main} thrown in /mnt/web8/d3/65/51985465/htdocs/WordPress_01/wp-content/plugins/facebook-events-widget/facebook-php-sdk-v4-4.0-dev/autoload.php on line 32

  2. I’m having an issue with the order of events. I have it set to show future events only and it shows June and beyond. Skipping May completely.

    Any help?

      1. hi jordan,

should show next events first so even 10 events should work.
can you share the facebook page you show events from so I can check and create a fix?

  3. I keep getting this error when trying to install/activate the WordPress Events plugin:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or ‘(‘ in /home1/satoric1/public_html/qa/newlyndon/wp-content/plugins/facebook-events-widget/facebook-events-widget.php on line 46

  4. Ok. now i have a different issue occurring. This is what shows up when I try to use the widget:

ERROR: (#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (start_time) on node type (Page)

Facebook page is http://tinyurl.com/kd4rwwe – using tinyURL so the actual name of the business doesnt show up here 😉

    Can you help me?

  5. Yeah I just updated it today. Version 1.9.10

Just figured it out. I was putting the wrong Page ID in – duh.

    Thanks 🙂

  6. I have been using your Plugin for FB events for a long time but it just stopped working? ERROR says:

ERROR: Error validating access token: Session has expired on Sunday, 31-May-15 18:22:26 PDT. The current time is Wednesday, 03-Jun-15 17:38:56 PDT.

    What should I do?

    1. this is because of changes in Facebook.

in the widget configuration. delete the session token in the widget configuration. save. click the button to get a new session token.

        1. Hi,

I checked and it’s working for me.
Try removing the access token. click save. generate token again. click save again.

          Thanks,
          Roi

  7. Hi I get an error now which is :

    ERROR: Invalid OAuth access token.

I have changed the facebook page from the old number type to the new page name. and also updated the user access token by resetting it but no joy. Thanks

  8. What does adjust event time in hours do? I have been changing it because for some reason, it is showing This Week for events that are happening today, and Today for an event that starts tomorrow.

  9. Hi I´ve downloaded and installed your pluggin in my website but this error appears

ERROR: (#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (start_time) on node type (Page)

    How can i solve it?

          1. is it possible for you to email me admin access to I can check it on your site?
if its problematic you can also set a demo site with the same configuration so I can check on the demo site.

    1. I may have an idea. There was an event in progress and we get “There are no upcoming events.” below that one event, we see “upcoming events.” I think there is a bug. I have only show future events checked.

  10. Hi I was using the Facebook Events widget for a couple of months, no issues. Now I get the message
    ERROR: Error validating access token
I made no changes to the Widget or Facebook were there any changes to FB?

    1. maybe. just delete the access token and click save and then you’ll have the button to get a new access token and click save again.
